The bodies of Canadian missing mother, Jasmine Lovett and her twenty-two months old daughter, Aliyah Lovett has been found in a wooded area, off a highway in Kananaskis; three weeks after they went missing from their home. Awareness was raised after they never showed up at a family gathering scheduled on the twenty-third of April, with no means to reach them.
At a press conference last Monday, Calgary police representative, Sergeant Martin Schiavetta said the killing was a targeted attack, motivated by domestic-related matters, reaffirms as “It was a domestic relationship that deteriorated over time.”
In connection to the homicide, thirty-four years old Robert Leeming has on Tuesday, been charged with two counts of second-degree murder.
Autopsy is still ongoing to establish the exact cause of their deaths. He is to appear in court 14 May 2019.
