INEC Recognises Sowore As AAC's Only Legitimate Chairman, Despite Impeachment

Omoyele Sowore, Nigeria's presidential candidate under the African Action Congress (AAC) was recently announced to be suspended and replaced by Leonard Nzenwa (the party's national secretary), for six months by the party's National Executive Committee after a special meeting in Abuja where he was accused of financial discrepancies and anti-party activities.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), however recognises and still announced Omoyele Sowore as the only legitimate national chairman of the AAC. As read by Rose Oriaran Anthony, the reason being that the supposed AAC NEC committee that installed Nzenwa, did not follow due procedure as

1)The special meeting was not convened by its chairman as required by the party's constitution.

2)Unable to provide a twenty-one days notice of the NEC meeting as required by Section85(1) of the Electoral Act 2010 (as amended) .

3)No minutes or evidence of attendance of the AAC National Executive Committee meeting where the National Chairman and eight (8) others were reportedly suspended.

Mr. Sowore wasted no time in releasing a statement to accuse the Ezenwa clan of being the ones guilty of what he has been accused of. His statement reads:
"These members, led by Leonard Nzenwa, former national secretary, who was suspended for financial impropriety and anti-party activities, have demonstrated by their actions that they have never been, and have never shared, the core beliefs that those of us in the African Action Congress hold."
Mr. Nzenwa has since been expelled by Mr. Sowore from the party, alongside other individuals who participated in the special NEC meeting until investigations reveal the extent of their involvement.
