Heavy menstruation or in more severe cases called, Menorrhagia can be a challenging and frustrating experience for many females. While traditional sanitary pads and tampons are often the go-to solutions, some people may find that these products don't provide the necessary protection and comfort during menstrual periods especially on days you have to be in public spaces and need to be functional, even during bedtime or just relaxing on your couch at home.

I recommend that you do not tear the adhesive paper off so that the pads are easy to change when soaked without it sticking to the diaper and tearing off part of diaper during changing times. This way, you will only then need to be changing just the pads and use the diapers for longer hours till when you are at home where it is comfortable to replace. 

 ■ You do not need to wear normal panties to secure diapers. They are shaped readymade like your panties, comfortable, and hold very well.

Disposal of adult diaper pants and maxi pads

■ Do not flush down a toilet.

■ Do not re-use. 

■ Tear off diaper from your waist on the sides or pull down like you remove usual panties.

■ Wrap the used diaper and fold the used pads inside a small sized plastic bag.

■ Dispose in a bin or burn.

If you feel wearing the disposable pants style diapers together with the maxi pads are too much for you, or as the cycle ends and the volume of menstrual flow decreases, you can use disposable maternity panties and line with maxi pads. 

Remember to pick your right size. The sizes come in extra small, small, medium, large, extra large and so on... 

Maternity panties are better in place of usual panties during menses, because you get to dispose them without needing to wash blood stained cotton panties.

Changes or abnormalities in menstrual flow such as very heavy bleeding accompanied by large blood clots, frequent large blood clots, irregular periods, severe cramping, and migraines etc, should be discussed with a physician for proper evaluation, and treatment solutions.
