The tension was initiated when Funke made a post with regards Tonto, after she granted very vigorous, responding interviews about her ex-husband, Olakunle Churchill.
The actress appeared to have called her out indirectly without tagging her name saying:
This post about Tonto got trending before she could delete it, but Tonto did not let it slide, accepted that she was throwing shades at her and responded in that effect saying:
Funke Adesiyan, then called out the blog that made it go viral that she wasn't referring to Tonto Dikeh. Many believed that she was referring to her. She has also deleted the post.
Funke did not stop there, she responded to Tonto's response, that she shouldn't have acted cowardly, but call her out directly and also, for a fist contest, whenever they meet. This time she said, tagging her:
Tonto responds again, to make her understand that she is up to the task.
Hopefully, the tension fades out and each one of them moves on with their lives as colleagues.
