The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have made the names of their new born public as they announce via their verified Instagram account, Sussexroyal. His names are Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

Yesterday afternoon, the queen met her eighth great-grand child at Windsor Castle.  HRH, Queen Elizabeth II is Archie's paternal great-grand mother.

Paternal great-grand dad, The Duke of Edinburgh, HRH Prince Philip and his maternal grandmother, Madam Doria Ragland, were also present for this special occasion.

Prince Harry and Duchess Megan as a couple, have been doing things in a very unique way. They have been giving some fresh vibes to the monarchy. This comes through again, in the choice of their baby's names. His names are beautifully unique with rich meanings and references.

Archie in summary, means brave. Harrison with translation "son of Harry." BBC explains Mountbatten-Windsor as the surname that was created in 1960, a combination of surnames of the Queen and her husband, Prince Philip, when they married. The name was a concession to the concerns of the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip, who was said to have complained that his children would not bear his name.

Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was born, 6 May 2019. His first pictures and video were circulated yesterday, 8 May 2019, where we could catch a glimpse of his face, when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made their first public appearance after his birth, at Windsor Castle. My first curiosity was to see if he adopted the beautifully ginger coloured hair of his dad.

Master Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor is not addressed as a Prince but master because, his father, Prince Harry is the second son of the current Prince of Wales, grandfather Prince Charles which implies that his children are not guaranteed the title of prince or princess.

It is a rule that King George V modified when he was in charge. He limited the number of family members who could be addressed as Prince at birth. The modification translates that in the line of succession, automatic title of prince at birth, currently ends with the son of the eldest living son of the eldest son of the Prince of Wales which is Prince George of Cambridge.

This rule can only be changed at the moment for Master Archie, by Queen Elizabeth II by styling him a title.

However, Baby Archie is entitled to inherit his own father's Sussex title by bearing, Earl of Dumbarton.

The Earl of Dumbarton is a secondary Sussex title, before inheriting the title of Duke; but his parents are not particular about titles. This also doesn't change the fact that master Archie is still in the line of succession to the throne at seventh place.

This is trending news and we all cannot wait to see baby Archie's full face and ofcourse hair.
