Burna Boy's "African Giant" album makes Grammy awards nomination list for World Music Album

Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, Burna Boy is making Africa very proud. From shutting down major events centers around the world, to volunteering a good portion of his proceeds that was to be made at the "Africans Unite" concert to affected victims of xenophobic attacks in South Africa, and now making his first nomination for Grammy awards in the category of World music album.

The news of Grammy nominations of African Giant" comes after the cancelation of "Africans unite" concert.

Nigerian singer Burna boy who received a lot of antagonism from South Africans for speaking passionately firm against the act of xenophobic attacks, unfair treatments and inhumane comments against African foreign nationals by South Africans.

Burna Boy came off that mood and without hesitation announced that he would be coming to South Africa as invited, to perform at "Africans unite" concert, as a way of burying the hatchet and raise money to be shared amongst the surviving victims of the attack.

But some of South Africa's youths negated the coming of Burna Boy to perform and insisted he apologized to them stating that he insulted the country. Burna Boy despite being very busy on tours around the world, tried to be diplomatic but it fell on deaf ears.

Well, Burna has been withdrawn from performing at the Africans Unite Concert in South Africa, and this has led to the cancellation of the show completely.

The information was made known publicly through a media statement from the organizers of the concert.

According to the statement, the decision to cancel the event was made after the "Tshwane Entertainment Collective" declared that they would boycott the event.

Some of the S.A youths were also threatening the peaceful success of the concert. As indicated by the organisers that also, with no government intervention, they decided to cancel the event.

They stated that the decision to include Burna Boy was because they wanted to change the negative narrative of South Africans and preach about love and unity.
