Personally, most times, I find compressing a large video useful for attaching to mail, online job applications that require a video briefing or sharing an important video with contacts on messenger applications.
Compressing a video, one can save larger videos to emails for long-term storage despite the video exceeding the 25 MB capacity that emails usually allow you to attach.
This comes in handy for those tutorials you want to save for future use before you master it by heart, at the same time want to free up storage on your device for that period. Whatever your reason, you just want to compress that video to an allowed size.
