New year's day recipe idea: Ice-cream cake (no flour required)

Ice-cream and chocolates are an all-time favorite for many. However, they can still be made better exciting for the holidays by combining these two yummy ingredients to form an ice-cream cake.

I'll recommend using the finest dairy products, and your favorite fine quality dark chocolate bars.

As the name suggests, you might be expecting some flour/baking as most cake recipes require; not with this particular one.

Less of a hassle, no bake, and yummy recipe to try.

Ingredients
** 700 ml fresh cream (for ice-cream + chocolate glaze)
** 250-500 ml condensed milk (adjust to preferred sweetness)
** 500 ml fresh milk
** 250 grams powdered milk
** 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
** 300g dark chocolate
** 250g cherries

Method for ice-cream
• For this recipe, I'll be using a rectangular food grade silicone mould. You can also use a silicone bundt pan.
• Combine ingredients in pan; starting with the thicker ingredients first; using a hand mixer/ballon whisk, mix condensed milk and the powdered milk; add 500 ml of the fresh cream; add the vanilla extract; mix smoothly; add the fresh milk; whisk into a creamy, silky, homogeneous mixture.
• Freeze mixture till solid.

• Before glazing with melted chocolate, transfer frozen ice-cream from container to a flat pan.
》This can be achieved by placing the frozen silicone container with ice-cream in warm water for a minute/few minutes till detached but not melted.

Then transfer to a flat pan.

Have your melted chocolate ready before transferring the frozen ice-cream to the flat pan.

Melted chocolate

• In a bowl, add 200 ml fresh cream and 300 grams dark chocolate.

• Melt chocolate in cream by using double boiler method or a few seconds in the microwave on medium heat.
The temperature of the melted chocolate should be warm not hot.

• Pour over frozen ice-cream.

• Top with cherries.
