Recipes: Hot chocolate, delicious restaurant style

Delicious hot chocolate recipe that can be incorporated into any restaurant menu. Would not only sell well but will be a favourite. Can be well enjoyed within your home too!

This recipe can be made in large batches or instant consumption quantity.

Ingredients: 1 cup good quality cocoa powder, 1 leveled tablespoon cinnamon powder, 1 tablespoon cornflour, 1 cup dark chocolate chips, 1/3 cup of sugar (adjust sugar to taste).

Recipe procedure

■In a blender, add cocoa powder, sugar, cinnamon powder, cornflour and dark chocolate chips.

■Blend together till powdery.

■Store chocolate powder in an air tight container. Shelf life should be batched to the expiry date of the ingredient that has the first expiry and not later than six months from making this mixture.

■To make the hot chocolate drink, add three table spoons of the premixed chocolate powder in a mug.

■Add hot milk or hot water to the mug. 

■Alternatively, you can make on a stove top with heated milk in a pan and transfer into a mug.

■Stir well. Serve. Top with whipped cream and chocolate chips.
