11-year-old Nigerian Hyperrealistic Artist, Waris Kareem Has Emerged Winner Of Taiwan’s Chou Ta-Kuan Cultural And Educational Foundation 22nd Fervent Global Love of Lives Award for 2019


Among over 2,500 recommended candidates around the world, Waris Kareem, Waspa art wins the 2019 Taiwan’s Chou Ta-Kuan Cultural and Educational Foundation - 22nd Fervent Global Love of Lives Award.
An award that is nicknamed "The Nobel Prize of Life."

Ambassador Vincent Yang, the diplomatic representative of Taiwan in Nigeria, announced the victory in Lagos yesterday, Wednesday.

He prominently came to limelite after sketching a stunning portrait of French President, Emmanuel Macron, in his presence in two hours, during the France president's visit to Lagos. This amazed global audience.

Nigerian child artist, Kareem, who has gained global recognition for his incredible hyperrealistic drawings, will be meeting Taiwanese President,Tsai Ing-wen, among other laureates in Taipei from September 20 to September 28, 2019.




Ambassador Yang and entourage noted that they have hosted and congratulated Kareem in Lagos pending his trip to Taiwan.

Young Kareem uses some of the proceeds from his excellent drawings to raise food for disadvantaged children in slums.

His distinctive role model is Michelangelo and he intends to use his art to promote Africa in a better light.

He has also confirmed his joy via his social media handle.
